What working together actually looks like

Whether you found this page through a search, a referral, or by clicking through from the homepage — you’re here because something in your current setup isn’t working the way it should. Maybe it’s a gap in your software. Maybe it’s a workflow that costs your team three hours a week that nobody’s officially tracking. Maybe you’ve watched competitors start using AI tools and you’re not sure what you’re missing.

Below is what I offer, what that looks like in practice, and how to start a conversation if any of it applies.

💻 Custom Software

Most software is built for a hypothetical average user. Your business isn’t average — it has specific workflows, specific data formats, specific reporting requirements, and specific integrations with other systems that nobody else uses in quite the same combination. Off-the-shelf software covers about 80% of that before running out of options.

The 20% gap is where your team spends its time: manual exports, copy-paste between systems, processes documented in someone’s head. I build the tool that handles 100% of what you specifically need.

A few things this has looked like in practice

Insurance claims portal — A client portal that calculated claim amounts automatically based on current interest rates. A two-person manual process became a single form submission.

Warehouse inventory system — A web interface for tracking stock using QR codes and NFC tags, replacing a spreadsheet workflow that had accumulated six years of workarounds nobody wanted to touch.

Agricultural export labels — Custom PDF label software that met the import labelling requirements of eight different countries without any manual reformatting per destination.

Supermarket security cameras — Real-time integration that read the register console of a U.S. chain’s mainframe and pushed item descriptions to security camera displays at checkout. Two weeks. No vendor negotiations.

School system lockdown — A replacement Windows shell for an Australian school network. Students could only access explicitly approved software; anything not on the list simply didn’t appear.

Government translation infrastructure — Automatic translation system for the Ministry of Agriculture, Hunan Province, China. Built in 2016, when reliable automatic translation was still a contested concept among people who’d tried it.

Platforms: desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux), mobile (iOS and Android), and web applications in any technology stack. If you’re not sure which fits your use case, that’s part of the first conversation.

📊 Business Consulting

Most businesses don’t have a software problem. They have a workflow that made sense when they had three employees, got patched as they grew, and now costs everyone 45 minutes a day that nobody’s officially tracking because it’s just become part of the job.

I look at how your team actually works — not how the org chart says it works — find where the time goes, and fix it. Sometimes that means building something new. More often it means automating two or three repetitive steps, replacing a tool you’re paying for with one that actually fits, or reorganizing a process that grew sideways over the years.

If software would help, I’ll tell you what kind and whether it’s worth the investment. If it wouldn’t, I’ll tell you that too. The goal is a faster operation, not a larger invoice.

🤖 AI Tools Training

The tools are real and genuinely useful. The problem is that “use AI” is advice at roughly the same level of specificity as “eat better” — technically correct, entirely unhelpful.

Which tool, for which tasks, phrased how? How do you check whether the output is actually correct? The gap between someone who knows the answers to these questions and someone who doesn’t is the gap between AI saving four hours a week and AI producing confident-sounding nonsense that someone has to catch before it goes out the door.

I work with your team on the tools that apply to your actual work — document drafting, research, data processing, building lightweight internal tools, whatever fits your workflow. The training is built around your domain, not a generic AI overview you could’ve found on YouTube.

97% of our business comes from referrals

Not a marketing number — a consequence of how the work gets done. If something we build doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, we fix it. If you have questions six months after delivery, you get answers. If a project hits a genuine problem mid-way through, you hear about it immediately rather than at launch.

This also means I’m selective. I take fewer projects than I could, and I do them properly. Clients who’ve worked with us once tend to come back — and send their contacts when the same problems come up elsewhere.

Fill out the form below and I’ll follow up within one business day. The more specific you can be about what you’re dealing with, the more useful my response will be — but a rough description is fine too. If it’s not a fit, I’ll say so.
